As the fifth largest export market for the UK, The Netherlands is one of Europe's
most dymanic business centres. Building on a long history of international trade,
the country provides opportunities in all sectors, especially for small and medium-sized
businesses. The Netherlands re-exports between 60 - 70% of its imports to
the rest of Europe and beyond, so international standards are a valuable tool
when demonstrating that quality management and environmental systems are in place.
IMSM has worked with several clients helping them to achieve ISO standards, improving
efficiency, reducing waste and increasing market opportunities. From IMSM's

Gros
Natuursteen is a young, dynamic company, based in the heart of Noord-Brabant,
which specializes in working with natural stone and marble. For business customers
the product range includes building products, floor tiles, and furniture. The
company also produces a collection of unique memorials and gravestones, for individuals
who want to commemorate a lost loved one.
Mevr. Wilma Timmermans, Managing
Director, is enthusiastic about her company, and decided to go through the processes
to achieve ISO9001 through IMSM because “ours is a young business committed
to quality- it is key to everything we do, our people, our products and our systems.
We only work for quality, and we train and educate students in the skills required.
We were convinced that the IMSM method would suit our style, straight-forward
and methodical, without a lot of fuss.” Operations Director Wim Timmermans
continued, "Our team of seven was already very organized, which made getting
the processes documented and manuals produced a lot easier. In our view,
the main benefit of achieving ISO9001 is increased credibility, as it is externally
assessed. International recognition is important, too. IMSM's Assessor was very
patient and friendly, and helped us a lot, from workshops to showroom, and all
the systems in between. While it is early to see a significant impact, Gros
Natuursteen is confident that increased business will result. “We have already
recommended IMSM to other businesses, as we felt the process was worthwhile, and
IMSM's approach was ideal for our company. www.grosnatuursteen.nl
