“The key benefit of ISO certification is the trust placed in our products by our major customers.”
Based in Calgary, Alberta, Triple DDD Bending commenced business in January 1986.
Today the company has a workforce 30-strong, offering a wealth of experience in the field of pipe and steel bending and rolling. Capable of handling projects of all sizes, Triple DDD Bending uses several methods of bending and rolling, from cold bending of pipe and rolling of light structural steel sections to hot bending of heavy structural steel, including wide flange beams. In addition to working with all kinds of metals and alloys, they also supply coating services.
Primarily serving the oil and gas industry throughout Western Canada and the Northwest territories, their customer base incorporates the Canadian operations of every major oil and gas company in the world. They also bend structural steel and architectural features for the construction and fabrication industries, as well as bending pipe for processing plants, cement plants and mines.
In order to meet the Canadian Standards Association’s recent requirement that anyone bending to their codes had to be ISO compliant in order to certify their pipe bends as meeting CSA standards, last year Triple DDD Bending was assessed and approved for ISO 9001:2000 by QAS International. As Pat Jordan, Triple DDD Bending’s Financial Controller told us, the advantages go way beyond simply being compliant with the CSA. “The key benefit of ISO certification is the trust placed in our products by our major customers,” Pat explained. “Another important feature has been the growth of awareness of our own staff as to their responsibilities in maintaining a high level of quality control.”
