PGS Reservoir

A Reservoir of Professionals

Based in Maidenhead, Berkshire, PGS Reservoir is a fully integrated geoscience and petroleum engineering consultancy, undertaking geoscience, reservoir characterisation, petrophysics, reservoir engineering and production-related projects throughout the exploration and production sector worldwide. Its client base includes independent and major oil companies, governments, financial and legal institutions. The company also maintains offices in Norway, Texas, Singapore and Australia.

Their parent company's core business is the acquisition and processing of seismic data worldwide. PGS Reservoir specialises in providing interpretation of these, often very large, regional datasets (for example, almost all the North Sea). The Maidenhead branch employees a 45-strong staff comprising professional geoscientists and engineers. All of the company's technical staff have Bachelor degrees and 65% of the technical staff have Masters or Doctorate degrees.

A leading international provider of sub-surface technical and commercial expertise, PGS Reservoir is recognised for the ability to undertake oil and gas asset evaluations and multi-disciplinary studies. Client requirements include multi-national basin studies, large-scale geophysical interpretation products, more detailed regional studies and field related products.

The company's focus areas are the North Sea, West and North Africa, Australia, Brazil, the Middle East and countries of the Former Soviet Union.

PGS Reservoir decided to go for ISO 9001(Quality) and OHSAS 18001 (Health & Safety) certification, primarily to improve the way in which they work, because how their people perform is critical to their success. "Since implementing the systems, we have been able to monitor and improve our organisation and the manner in which we operate and, as a result, this has helped us to secure projects that we might not have obtained without the standards" said Carl Blackstock, Interpretation Director.
