In conjunction with Pidgeon Associates, Prima
Plastics also offers a full design and development service. Prima
assists engineers and industry design departments to mould, create
and produce the products they require as economically as possible,
often to short lead times.
The company's global client base includes the
aviation, civil engineering, defence, electric, gas, oil and water
industries and ranges from the individual to blue chip organisations.
Phil Keith, Managing Director said that they
initially sought ISO 9001:2000 because of customer demand. "It
was a pre-requisite that we had ISO certification. In our line of
business, it has become mandatory for suppliers to demonstrate that
that they operate to a recognised standard. Not only does it instil
confidence into existing customers, but is a useful tool for attracting
new business. We hope that this added credibility will translate
into future revenue."
Prior to embarking on the certification process,
they did experience some initial concerns about the amount of time
and paperwork involved, but IMSM guided them seamlessly through
each procedure without adversely affecting the day-to-day running
of the business.
Phil concluded by saying that they are delighted
with IMSM's service and would happily recommend them to other businesses.
