Incorporated in June 1999, LumaLite, Inc. develops, manufactures
and sells advanced tooth whitening devices in the multi-billion
dollar dental industry. The Company's innovative products are technologically
competitive and sell for significantly less than comparable alternative
methods of teeth whitening. Currently, products are distributed
to dental professionals through the company's established distribution
partners both in the US and Worldwide. The Company's office and
manufacturing facility is located in Spring Valley, California,
12 miles east of downtown San Diego.
They recently wrote :
"I am writing this letter to you to commend your organization on
the comprehensive job that it did in assisting LumaLite in qualifying
for ISO 9001:2000, and ISO 13485.
We are a small company of under 10 employees. When we first started
to think about the intricacies involved in obtaining qualification
to the above standards it was very daunting both cost wise and administratively.
After speaking with several other companies, we decided on using
IMSM for two reasons. Sam Whiting presented an economically feasible
plan as well as a reasonable timetable to complete the project.
His assurance that the procedure would be virtually painless was
true.
Mr. Peter Basley, who prepared the manuals, made every effort to
conform to our existing procedures rather than force us to modify
them to fit some preconceived plan. Where new procedures were required
to satisfy the requirements, we worked together to make them workable.
Jenny Penlington, the auditor, was extremely thorough and to use
her words "pedantic", although I believe exacting would be more
appropriate and helped us through our initial audit. She should
be complimented on her attention to detail and her ability to resolve
the few issues that needed change.
The experience was non-traumatic, all of your personnel were extremely
helpful and we are quite pleased with the results.
I would unconditionally recommend your organization to anyone seeking
ISO approval."
