Encap Thermoplastics, based in Laindon, Essex, manufactures
key plastic components for detection instruments, scientific equipment
and measuring devices to customers in the UK, USA and Finland. Although
it had in place internal quality procedures, a growing number of
customers were seeking a more formal and universally accepted standard
that only ISO 9000 can provide.
Managing Director Howard Matthews has been pleased with the result.

only the most expensive raw materials, so it was essential to reduce
waste. ISO 9000 certification has certainly helped to achieve that."
