IMSM - British standards experience in demand from USA plastics
industry
"Our unique standards experience with the plastics industry
is now being applied throughout the USA and we are delighted to
have jointed the American Society for the Plastics Industry - SPI
- as part of our commitment to this important market," announced
IMSM CEO, Michael Bright, today at the IMSM Offices in New York.
The decision to join the US plastics industry trade body was made
during the recent NPE 2003; the world's plastic showcase exhibition
and conference, held in Chicago. This event generated positive business
interest for IMSM and its tailored approach to quality management
and environmental standards for the plastics industry.
"We have been operating in the US since 1995 and have developed
a network of representatives with extensive plastics industry experience.
We have focused on ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 for the plastics industry
for many years and, as our home business is based in the UK, we
are established members of the British Plastics Federation and their
Business Support Network, set-up to help members' select recommended
suppliers of services and products.
As our consultancy business has grown we have found that this experience
is welcomed and equally applicable for producers and manufacturers,
both large and small, located around the world.
Joining the SPI demonstrates our commitment to supporting companies
in the important US plastics sector to achieve ISO 9000 and ISO
14000. We are building on this foundation and are making the most
of the opportunities that we have found," explains IMSM CEO
Michael Bright.
