Flying high
Established by a top team of experienced aerospace professionals
in 2001, GRACE Electronics provides quality products and personnel
for America's Defense and Aerospace industries.
The
company's fully equipped 36,000 sq ft facility is strategically
located in the industrial park directly adjacent to the LI MacArthur
Airport in Bohemia, New York. In addition to in-house engineering,
manufacturing, machining, assembly and test capabilities, GRACE
has a fully integrated supply chain that can deliver complete turn-key
services, from design concept and prototype fabrication to full
scale production. With 60 full-time employees and 20 part-time specialists
capable of solving complex problems with an unrivalled degree of
technical expertise and skill, they also supply highly qualified
engineers and scientists for temporary assignments.
Being committed to bringing the highest level of quality and service
to customers at greatly reduced costs, and also aware of today's
quality system requirements, GRACE Electronics achieved ISO9001
certification in July 2004, guided by IMSM.
Quality Manager Rick Appio told Quest: "In our business it
is essential that our company is totally focused on our quality
and the needs of our customers. This is also true of our suppliers
as each of us is ultimately a link in the supply chain. Every link
is as important as the next. The uniform standards of ISO enable
us and our suppliers to align ourselves effectively to satisfy the
needs of our ultimate customers. In today's market, we wouldn't
even be considered as suppliers for aerospace products without this
certification. Since achieving our ISO9001 certification GRACE has
been approved as a supplier for two prime contractors and we are
continuing to expand our business base."
