IMSM's
new office in Barcelona has been set up to service increasing demand
from Spanish businesses to achieve the range of IS0 and other international
standards.
A strong rate of economic growth (over 3.5% in 2005), a highly
developed competitive market, and trade links to the UK, made Spain
a logical choice for IMSM's latest office. Spain provides an open
market for overseas companies, particularly those from within the
European Union, and is the UK's 7th largest export market.

IMSM has already seen an enthusiastic take up of the ISO standards,
with several clients on board, and others in the pipeline in Madrid,
Valencia, Pamplona and Burgos. "The Spanish market in 2007 is
at a very exciting stage, with increased awareness of environmental
issues, as well as concerns for health and safety of the workforce,
business efficiency, and information security. We see this as a
valuable market, where, with our local team and proven business
model, we can really make an impact" noted Michael Bright.
