Aquafr33 Ltd chose IMSM to help them implement ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and BS OHSAS 18001 because of the vast experience in their sector and knowledge of the company’s corporate requirements.

Established in February 2007, Wokingham-based Aquafr33 Ltd manufactures a ‘waterless’ 100% organic and environmentally-friendly cleaner that can be used for a multitude of surfaces, with initial focus being placed on the car valet sector. They are currently targeting the UK market, but hope to expand overseas in the future.

Alan Wall, CEO explained the company’s decision to pursue the three ISO quality standards: “The specific sector we are focusing on is very political in light of the recent Policy change being introduced, this being the PPG13 – Pollution Prevention Guidelines (Vehicle Washing and Cleaning). The introduction of this Policy subsequently opens up a huge market potential nationally of which our target clients are the Environment Agency, Water Companies and corporate concerns. A prerequisite of working with most of these large organisations is ISO certification. Moreover, as a responsible and environmentally conscious company and management team, Aquafr33 is fully committed to helping an ever increasing global concern.”

With summer droughts becoming more common and water related issues being higher on the political agenda since the Policy release, including drainage contamination from cleaning products, there was a real need to develop an environmentally-friendly solution that cleans, polishes, waxes and protects without the need for any water based application. The outstanding cleaning power of aquafr33 is based on tried and tested organic compounds and can be used on virtually any surface, and essentially the use of this product in the car valet sector ensures that NO chemical based fluid is directed into the existing drainage infrastructure networks!

Alan felt that achieving ISO 9001, ISO14001 and BS OHSAS 18001 would position Aquafr33 as an environmentally aware and conscious trading company and that they would be perceived as a responsible and attractive venture. Alan added, “It also helps to separate us from other small outfits trying to sell a similar product (but chemically based), simultaneously giving us a distinct advantage in the market place, as we are the only company in this sector in the UK to have such certifications. For any potential client considering developing a working relationship with Aquafr33, I am confident that having three ISO standards in place will give us a competitive edge in this sector.”

Rating IMSM’s service as “excellent”, Alan said that they feel that they have helped educate, embrace, develop and endorse working practices, which will only enhance their operating and trading performance. IMSM always maintain a good level of communication throughout the process and give advice where necessary, to ensure that the certification is as seamless as possible.
